Incident Management System

Challenge:

How can decision support systems, managed by different organizations for emergency situations, integrate geospatial data, surveillance cameras and mobile phones?

Solution:

Spatial data is defined for each case, metada and attributes are associated to each element and their update rate is defined. Data management inside organizations, between authorities and mobile crews is facilitated using open SCADA and TETRA technologies.

We are currently working on combining effectively all these technologies to a decision support system. The mechanics of each system are different for each case and situation. Working closely with expert partners we are developing a supervision center (control room) where all incidents are categorized based on a priority level and the best solution and/or mobile crew is defined to handle it. Coordination of all parties is handled with open SCADA and TETRA networks.

Our system will handle incidents related to:
  • Emergency medical situations
  • Environmental disasters
  • Terrorist attacks
  • Natural disasters such as wildfires, flooding, earthquake etc.
  • Man-made disasters such as vehicle crashes, industrial accidents, train derailments, or structure fires
  • Search and Rescue operations
